They built models of tectonic plates with graham crackers and frosting to explore how these massive movements can be both constructive (creating new landforms) and destructive (shaping valleys and faults). Learning science by science!

Cairo Main Street Director, Amanda Rabon, and Cairo Police Department, Shanda Brinson, visited Eastside to officially name Daniel Gomez the winner of the Elementary Postcard Contest. Daniel was presented with a basket of art supplies and a certificate. His classmates helped him celebrate with a Pizza Party.
